Just found a section on Yahoo Finance called Buying Your First Home! It looks like it has some helpful articles, so I'll check them out soon!

Meanwhile, I'm going to be on vacation next week, so I plan to work on my Take the Challenge essay, which will be about why I want to become a homeowner. It's due by the end of the year.

Not much progress here lately

I've put the home ownership thing on the back burner the past few months as I've been concentrating on my health. The Rice Diet is going well; I'm down 46 lbs. so far, and am exercising at least an hour a day. The whole health thing came to a head in July, and I've had to make it a top priority.

Meanwhile, George and I need to get back to apartment hunting, as our leases will run out before we know it (which isn't until June, but still). Wish I could be ready to buy a home by then, but won't be ready.
